About Our Founder

Rafath Mumtaz is the Founder and CEO of MIQA Foundation and the CEO of the Association of Northern American Muslims (ANAM). She is a dedicated community leader, educator, author, and humanitarian committed to serving individuals and families through faith, education, wellness, and community development.

With more than three decades of leadership and community service, Rafath has devoted her life to creating meaningful opportunities that empower people of all ages. Through MIQA Foundation and ANAM, she leads initiatives that promote senior wellness, family support, youth development, educational workshops, volunteer engagement, and programs that strengthen community connections.

As an author, Rafath is passionate about nurturing young hearts through Islamic education. She is the creator of the Islamic Journey for Little Hearts children’s book series, designed to help young learners build a strong foundation in Islamic values, Arabic learning, and good character in an engaging and inspiring way.

Her vision extends beyond education. She believes in building compassionate, inclusive, and resilient communities where people are supported with dignity, respect, and opportunity. Through leadership rooted in integrity, service, and faith, she continues to inspire positive change and encourage others to make a lasting impact.
